CPE Compliance Disclosure:
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Your strategic plan sets the vision. Your information architecture determines whether you can deliver on it.
Information architecture sounds technical, but it’s really a series of leadership decisions. How you structure your education and professional development, your annual meeting, your marketing, and the systems that run it all (your AMS, CMS, and LMS) shapes what your organization can see, share, and act on.
And it isn’t only about systems. It’s about how information moves. Are you messaging down clearly enough for your teams to carry the vision forward? Do you know who is managing information up to you, and how?
This virtual Presidential Forum roundtable brings association CEOs and C-suite leaders together to talk candidly about the ties that bind strategy, structure, and leadership:
- Why information architecture is a set of strategic decisions, not just a technology project
- How the way you organize programs, events, marketing, and systems supports (or undercuts) your vision
- The leader’s role in messaging down and setting up a strong format downstream
- Making sure the information managed up to you is reliable, complete, and useful
- How you talk to staff about AI: as something they get to use, not have to use, to strengthen human work and build relationships rather than replace them
This is a peer conversation, not a presentation. Come ready to share what’s working, what’s getting in the way, and what you’re still working through.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze how decisions about education, events, marketing, and supporting systems (AMS, CMS, LMS) shape an association’s ability to carry out its strategic plan.
- Evaluate how information is messaged down to staff and managed up to leadership, and identify gaps that weaken alignment with the organization’s vision.
- Develop an approach for communicating with staff about AI that positions it as a tool to strengthen human processes and relationships.
